You may begin to see changes to my blog, website, collections and etc VERY soon! I wanted to have it all finished and changed on one day but I don't think it will happen with so many people involved...branding designer, blog guy that is loading everything for me because I am computer knowledge lacking and me trying to get all of the new pricing for 2009 together. I hope you like the changes and the new look. I love it! It is fun and natural...just how I like my photography to be.

For clients with sessions during the remaining 2008 months...pricing will remain the same for your sessions. Any changes seen on the site will be for 2009. In the proofing gallery the prices you see will be correct. :-)

Here they are! 2008 Christmas card samples. They are a mixture of some seen last year and some new ones. Why waste great cards styles from last year?! Sorry you have to see my family over and over but I wanted to focus to be on the card rather than on the picture. These are classy press printed cards that can be printed glossy if you would like...or my favorite matte finish. The awesome part of these cards (other than they look wonderful) is that you may choose your favorite picture to be placed on the backside of the card. When the holidays are over your recipients have a 5x7 picture of your family to frame for the next year! The cards will be in a gallery in the proofing area. You choose the number of the card you would like and I make the card and place it in your gallery for purchase. It's that easy!

T came to visit...along with his mommy and daddy...Saturday morning. As soon as I opened the door I knew I was going to have fun! T has the sweetest fuzzy head and the most contagious smile. I can tell he gets "tummy time" at home because he was totally happy with laying there pushing his body up. Guess what?! He rolled over from his belly to back both ways for the first time during our session!! So cool to be there for that moment. He looked like a pro already. Poor little guy got pretty tired so mommy worked very hard and got him to nap for a while. I am so glad we were able to get some sleepy pictures since she didn't have newborn ones taken. Thank you for the opportunity to photograph your bundle of joy!

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching E grow over her first year. She was precious at 3 months, 6 months and now at a year old she is growing into a beautiful toddler girl! We had fun down at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion this morning. It was hot and humid but E didn't miss a step. She had fun running around, finding leaves and playing with bubbles. I am going to go overboad with your sneak peek...forgive me. :-) Oh, you will notice there are no black and whites in this sneak peek...I just couldn't hide the beautiful colors! Enjoy!

A visit to Mamaw and Bobo's

Also known as my mom and step-dad. Dawson and I headed down to visit them for the weekend. (Daddy went to the UGA game.) Dawson LOVES it there. Chuck raises cattle and Dawson loves to go see the "moo cows". So this morning on our 4 wheeling ride to see the cows and a new baby that was just born, I decided to throw in a mini session of my almost 2 1/2 year old. Here are a few pictures from that. S and B were good sports and went ahead and came to my house for some indoor maternity pics...the rain finally stopped for a little bit and we ran outside for a few too! I just love baby toes, feet, hands...they are oh so sweet. I had a fun session on Monday evening with C. This is the baby I have known since birth...I took pictures at his birth 2 weeks ago. What an amazing time. Poor guy ended up back in the hospital due to a high fever and had to endure tons of tests. Luckily all came back negative and he is doing great!! Little C had a rough day before I got there but once he settled down and got comfy we were able to snap away. He is so precious with his dark hair. Thanks for inviting me into your home! Fun times! A party and a photo session included! A great friend of mine, J, came home from California to visit family and friends. Thankfully to a fabulous client rescheduling(you will see a sneak peek of her session in a week) I was able to make it to visit her and the spend the weekend at my mom's. Thanks A!

We had fun running around the neighborhood borrowing peoples homes and lawns for pictures! G and G are absolutely adorable and so funny. Check out girl G's shoes...plastic Cinderella high heels. She could walk in those things better than I can! Thanks J for asking me to take some pictures of the family. We will have to do it again one day when you hubby is home from his service overseas. I met the sweetest family this past weekend in Lincolnton. Mom and Dad are blessed with three beautiful girls. They have a gorgeous house that is decorated like a magazine. The girls' rooms are perfect! We had fun playing tea party, swinging and just hanging out. Thank you for letting me be a part of your weekend. It was so much fun! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! I am so excited about the upcoming changes in the business. I and Amy with Candy Apple Studios have been working on a whole new look for Kimberly Kyle Photography. We are having a blast and making progress! I am not sure when the new look will be out in full but just know it is coming. With this new look comes a new logo, site, pricing and much more! So fun! The name will be the same but much better.

One thing I have never had is a tagline. I brainstormed for a while but ended up nixing them all. Here is your chance to help. Send me your tagline idea to kimberlykylephotography@yahoo.com. Growing up...

Remember the free birthing session offer?! Well, the sweet baby boy is now here! All 8 lbs 3 oz of him. After a long night of labor and no sleep, he was born at 7:37 am on Tuesday, July 29th. What a wonderful morning I had! I was asked by a great friend and photographer, Danielle Hobbs, to come help with 5 week girl/boy twins. Of course I said yes!!! This was my first session with twin babies. I drove to Columbia for the gmorning...etting up early and making the trip was very much worth it. The twins were absolutely perfect...so gorgeous. The hair, the lips, the toes...oh so sweet. I enjoyed every minute! Even the one where we got peed on! Lol. Poor Danielle got the worst of that. Enjoy these sweet little babies...I did.

I am doing some spring cleaning...a little late. :-) School will be starting soon and summer will be over once again. I have been slow with backing up my pictures lately. I guess I have been enjoying time with my lil' man so much I haven't made time. So during the next week I will be burning CDs of sessions. Time to organize and get ready for the coming holiday season!

well, not tonight but he will be here soon! I believe tonights count is 163 sleeps left. It sounds like a long time but we will be singing Christmas carols before we know it. Now is the perfect time to start thinking about holiday portraits. September and October will be set aside for just that! The only other sessions being held during these two months are maternity and newborns. Dates to remember:

October 26th - All holiday galleries will be open and ready for viewing.
November 15th - All holiday orders will be placed.
December 5th - All holiday orders will be filled and delivered.

This will give you plenty of time to choose your Christmas cards/portraits and have them delivered early in the season. Let's mark something off your holiday list! Sessions are being booked now. Stay tuned for the holiday special collections being offered this year!

Introducing my family!! This is my brother, sister in law, nephews and neice. They were such sports for these. We were out to eat at the fabulous Sunset Grille in Port St. Joe, FL. We are having a blast. The beach is beautiful and the fun is plentiful! Dawson is loving the sand and water. He even rode the Sea Doo with us yesterday...that was a small victory because he hates the life vest. We rode around for a while and then headed in to hook it up but Dawson said "no, go ride some more." We let him steer and he loved it!

Well, it is that time again. We are all ready to go and so very excited! We are leaving soon for our annual family trip to the beach. Please forgive me if I am slower at answering emails or messages. This is B at 12 days old. What a precious baby girl she is! I love her sweet little bald head. Mom and Dad have decided that they need to buy some fleece and a bean bag! B was just as calm as could be laying there. She was so alert for a 12 day old...I seem to get all of the alert newborns! Lol. She finally konked out at the end for us. Mom and Dad have fallen right into parenthood. They looked like pros already! Mom is back to normal size even! Can you believe that?! She is one hot new mommy! Congrats to both of you. Fun at the river

Well, really the canal but close enough! We had beautiful sunny weather even though it was supposed to be mostly cloudy. Duke, the black lab, joined us for pictures too! He is a gorgeous and well behaved big guy. So on to the reason for the pictures. M is 32 weeks preggo and due at the end of July. They are having a sweet little boy! His name is going to be a surprise...how fun! Guess what I just found out today?!!! I am going to have the opportunity to photograph the birth!!! I am beyond excited. I just love this family already. Dad has a great personality and was such a trooper throughout the session. B was also great and posed for the one shot of him below. Well, baby B is here! She is such a sweet baby. I was lucky to receive tons of sweet smiles from her yesterday. Can you say...baby fever?! I didn't want to let her go back to mom but I had to. B was such a trooper with only a little crying and one feeding through a 2 hour shoot. The family just moved into their perfectly built home one week before her arrival and yet the home looks like a southern living magazine. Mommy has awesome decorating skills! To all of the mommy's out there...and those that will soon be...Happy Mother's Day! Being a mother is so amazing. When my son reaches up and grabs my face and lays a big kiss on my lips, I melt. At night when we are saying his prayers and he is laying his head on my shoulder but also patting my back, I just slip in a quick thanks to God for sending me this angel. When he just randomly tells me I love you Momma, I realize why I went through those 9 months of being sick, swollen and so tired I could pass out. Children are truly a gift.

Who am I? I thought I would share a little about myself so you can get to know me. If you have any questions that you would like answered please feel free to ask away by leaving a comment. I will edit and add to the answers! I think this will be a fun way to get to know me before our first...or next session.

1. Favorite color: Well, this first question will show one problem I have...making decisions. Lol. I love blue because it is the color of the ocean and the sky on a beautiful day. I love red and black because of UGA! GO DAWGS! I love orange and brown because it reminds me of Fall. I love green because my hubby has gorgeous green eyes. I also love pink because one day I hope to have a little girl! See...I have trouble choosing!

2. Favorite food: This one is easy...Mexican! We eat at El Alazan at least 2 times a week. Dawson loves it too! That's my boy!

3. Hobby other than photography: I love to read. I can get lost in a good book in no time.

4. Favorite vacation spot: The beach...doesn't matter where but I do prefer the Gulf. The countdown is on until our annual family beach trip...we have around 1.5 months!

5. Pets: Cooper, 4 year old Golden Retriever; Bella, 4 year old mean orange cat...lol.

Questions asked:

1. What are my favorite portraits to take?
Hard question. I would say that if I had to choose just one I would have to choose...man, I can't do this! I think I love something different about each one. I love maternity because pregnancy is such a beautiful miracle. Creation just amazes me and reminds me that God is truly in control. I love seeing how the new parents to be react and just feel their excitement. It is awesome! I love newborns because they are just so fresh and pure. From 0-2 weeks newborns are the sleepiest and are so cuddly for pictures. I love seeing their tiny hands and feet. I just LOVE baby feet! Babies and toddlers are great because they are turning into little people. They change SO much between sessions it is amazing. Kids cooperate more than the younger ones so I can capture their personalities while they "model" for me. I haven't really had a senior session yet but I think that would be so much fun! I would love to go downtown and explore for the perfect location. I love seeing families interact with each other also. Photography is just great! Sorry I can't answer your question correctly but remember that I have trouble making decisions!

2.What made you want to be a photographer?
I have always enjoyed photography. My mom tells me that as soon as I could play with a camera I was! I have since learned that my father was into photography also. He took some beautiful pictures of animals, fireworks and nature. I guess it is just in me. I love capturing the moment to have as a memory forver.

Here is a quick sneak peak for the J family! E is 2 months old and is the best baby...all but for photography sessions. Lol! He apparently doesn't cry much at all but he let us hear his strong lungs today. He finally tuckered out near the end of the session and let me get some sweet sleepy pics. Fresh out of the oven...

This sweet baby girl is only 3 days old! What a joy she was to work with. I only heard cries when she was getting her diaper changed. We had a great visit during the shoot...she nursed a couple of times which is totally normal for newborn sessions. I am completely comfortable with as many breaks needed to keep baby happy. Anyway, Z is absolutely gorgeous with her dark brown hair. I am so glad I got the opportunity to photograph such a sweet newborn.

Here is the V family sneak peek! I graduated from high school with C and then we were college roommates! Hard to believe how long ago that was. Now C is having a baby girl. What a wonderful session with a sweet little girl! E will be 4 in May. We had her session at her CeCe and Pawpaw's house. They have a ton of beautiful land with a pond, fallen trees and flowers. Miss E loves to talk! Moments of smiles and serious stares were few and far between the talking faces and silly expressions. I had so much fun! Miss E sang me a beautiful song...My Girl. That is what her mommy has sung to her since she was a baby. Thank you for allowing me to take her pictures!

Today I finally got to do a session that has been planned for months! Too bad it was a very rainy day! L is almost 2.5 years old and SO smart. He is able to use long sentences, sing his ABCs and so much more. We had so much fun playing this morning. I was glad to see him throw one fit though...my son isn't the only one! We started the session playing in L's room. It is so precious with the light lime green walls and blue accents! He has the same sweet soft pillow as my Dawson has. I have gotten many of Dawson's cute t-shirts off of there...his I'm 2 shirt is from there! http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=90329 Sorry, I got off an tangent. After playing in his room we went out to his play space in the garage to color, ride in his car and etc. This is great idea for extra space. L's mom had it set up with a cute ABC rug which L LOVES! While we were outside L played with his stuffed animal, ate a lollipop and cleaned up by playing in the rain. What a fun rainy day we had! Enjoy your sneak peek!

A Day at the Farm

Saturday was a beautiful warm day for a photo session. I had the opportunity to photograph 2 absolutely adorable brothers, O and D. I actually went to high school with both mom and dad! They drove out to my mom and step-dads house which is kind of a farm. They raise cows. We didn't get to see any though. They were out on a piece of land far away. At least we did get to hear loud mooos! O is the best big brother but doesn't like to hold D too much because as he says "Mom, he's heavy"! This made getting a picture of the two a little difficult! We got at least one though...see below. D is the happiest baby on the block! He gave us tons of smiles and laughs. Thank you for letting me take pictures of your guys (again...I took O's pictures last year when I was first starting out. If I remember correctly he was my first paid session!) Today is Dawson's 2nd birthday. I can hardly believe it. The past two years have absolutely flown by. I am so glad I have pictures and video to help me remember how tiny he was. Having a child makes you all emotional so fogive me. I remember two years ago having the doctor tell me to head to the hospital to have our baby. I was 37 weeks pregnant but my blood pressure was too high and I was pre-eclamptic. So much for the Olive Garden lunch I was planning to have with my mom! My mom was at the appointment with me...DH (dear husband to all of you non-online chatters) was at work. We went straight to the hospital and I got all settled around 1:00 or so and the pitocin was started that afternoon. Dawson was born at 10:19 on March 24th. He was so beautiful. He had a full head of black hair and olive skin. He looked just like me when I was a baby. Now everyone says he looks just like DH...I guess that is good since he is a boy! Those first couple of months felt like they were creeping by since we were constantly tired but little did I know...they were gone in an instant.

Life is so precious. Children are truly a gift from God. I see Him in Dawson's sweet little innocent eyes everyday. Happy birthday little man. We love you so much.

Stormy scheduling...sweet session

The storms rolled in on Saturday so we rescheduled our session to Sunday. We are so fortunate that we made the decision to reschedule! There were tornados, hail and terrible storms on Saturady. The B family unfortunately was hit by the bad hail and now all of their cars have many dents all over them. Thank goodness for insurance! We had a wonderful morning together. The B family is absolutely precious! They are having a sweet baby girl in just a few weeks. She is 35 weeks along and gorgeous! We had so much fun in my "studio"...lol...and down at the canal. What a fun Sunday evening! The session started out at my home for some studio type pictures and then we headed out to Savannah Rapids for some beautiful shots. The grass is starting to turn green and there are flowers here and there. Spring is coming! This is the B family and they are expecting a new member in April...it's a girl! N is so excited about being a big brother but honestly wanted nothing to do with the photo shoot. He and his daddy would have been perfectly happy throwing rocks and pine cones into the canal...lol. We had a good time and then finished off our evening at the mexican restaurant down the road. Perfect ending to a great shoot. Enjoy your sneak peek!

March is here and my baby boy will be turning 2 at the end of the month. I can NOT believe it. I remember that July day when I found out I was pregnant like it was yesterday. Time truly flies by in a blink of an eye. Photographs are my tangible memories to the past. I am so glad that I have each and every one of them. Here are some of my guy playing outside the other day. I am trying to capture each moment...like that will help him slow down or something. :-)

All the way from Savannah the M family was a joy to photograph! Mr. N and Mr. V were such awesome models. The boys are so adorable! N was ham for the camera until he got sleepy but that was perfect too! The weather started warming up for us but the wind was whipping around so it was still chilly. We took a golf cart ride down to the lake but the lake has disappeared somewhat. We still got some great shots there too. Then we hung out at the cottage for a bit while N slept and V read a book with grandma. It was a wonderful session. Thank you so much for traveling to see me! Here is your sneak peek!

My little guy is turning 2 in about a month. I just can't believe it. Time has flown by. I feel like he should be Reagan's age. For the parents to be or new parents out there...enjoy every minute. please forgive me! We made the trip to visit Reagan again. She was 3.5 weeks old in these pictures. This were very rushed since we needed to get ready for Aunt Tara's surprise 30th birthday party. The year has started off great! I have enjoyed wonderful sessions so far. February is currently booked but there are March appointments available. Those dates that are open are March 1st, 15th, and 22nd. The dates available in April are the 19th or
26th.

If you have a newborn (0-2 weeks) please contact me as soon as possible...even before the birth to set up your appointment. We will capture great shots during those first two weeks since the baby will be sleeping most of the time. Even if I am booked please contact me and I may be able to fit you in.

I have a very fun session set up in April for a sweet little boy. We are going to do a "favorite things" session. He is going to paint a canvas, play with his toys, ride his bike and play in his room. I will follow behind to capture all of his moments. Sessions like these are available anytime. I can become a fly on the wall and just capture daily life. These are truly the moments we will remember forever.

Maternity sessions should be booked around 32-36 weeks. This timing will capture your beautiful belly just before you get too busy or uncomfortable for pictures. However, if you prefer to have your session done earlier that is up to you. We can also capture your pregnancy throughout the 9 months. Contact for pricing.

Reagan has settled right into her beautiful home. Her mommy and daddy did an awesome job building this home on the lake. It is decorated like a magazine...I could just move right in.

We had a busy day on Sunday trying to get some pictures made. Reagan is so popular that she had family coming to visit the entire day. I finally had to steal her away so I could get some pictures before I left. Thanks to Steven and Bebe for helping take care of my little man! He took a short power nap on the way home he was sooooo tired.

Reagan went home today with her mommy and daddy. From what I heard, Reagan was holding on to the carseat for dear life when she was being carried out. I guess her little NICU bed didn't move around all crazy! We are all so happy that she gets to see her new home now.

To Rebecca and Steven, life begins now. Enjoy every minute. That beautiful daughter of yours is one special gift from God. I know you will cherish each moment now that you have both been through so much. It was a reminder to all of us to hold our kids tight. We love you. Give Reagan a kiss and a welcome home from us. Things are looking up!

Reagan is 2 weeks old today!! Wow, she will be eating her first birthday cake before we know it. I spoke with Rebecca yesterday and she sounded so good. Reagan was allowed to begin having breastmilk again yesterday! Hopefully all will go well with that and no allergy will show up. Rebecca said that they are just waiting for the doctor to release her now. Let's pray for today or in the next few days!

I want to thank everyone for all the prayers that have been sent to Rebecca, Steven and Reagan. I truly believe in the power of prayer. Continue for us until she is safely home with her family. Thank you.

Reagan is still in the NICU as of now. They do not want to release her because once a baby leaves he/she can not come back in...they have to go to the regular hospital. So she is hanging out there for now. They have started introducing milk free formula and will go from there. As for the spots on her face that were of concern, they seem to be lightening. The picture below is one that Aunt Tara sent me...she has such big pretty eyes. On the color one her eyes are blue. Your prayers are working!

There really isn't any new information right now. The blood culture they did to check some things out came back normal...yay! She is still in the Level 3 NICU as far as I know. I believe she is still having blood in her diapers. The doctors were asking about family history where a milk allergy is concerned. There were a few people that had one. Time will tell. So far only good results have come out of the tests. Your prayers are working! We appreciate them so much. Send more their way.We thank each and every one of you.

We finally had the opportunity to play outside the other day! Dawson received an awesome playset from his Gaga and Papa for Christmas. Reagan is still having bleeding when she goes to the bathroom. They are unsure what is going on. The doctors started to get concerned about the places on her face and the reb/black eyes. One doctor so bluntly said that they spots could be hemangiomas and that could be a sign of brain damage...what in the world was this doctor thinking?! I beg any doctors out there to think before they speak to any parent...especially a brand new mommy and daddy. They called for a CAT scan this afternoon. The results are that she has blood build up behind her eyes...from the trauma at birth. Hopefully that will resolve itself AND her brain is just perfect! Yay! It is so awesome to get some good news. Now they just have to figure out what is going on with her tummy. Keep those prayers coming.

Baby Reagan update

Reagan was moved from the Level 3 NICU to the Level 2 yesterday. However, she had a rough night and the nurses found blood in her stool. They placed her back in the Level 3 NICU for now. Her original go home date was Wednesday but now is Friday. A group of doctors doing their rounds in the morning are going to evaluate her stomach to rule that out. Hopefully she will quit hitting these road bumps and get well soon. I know this is taking a toll on her mommy and daddy. They want their baby girl home soon. Please keep praying for her.

Thanks to Aunt Tara we have a picture! Baby Reagan is still on antibiotics for the infection in her lungs but she is doing well. They took out her feeding tube and oxygen yesterday afternoon. She will have to stay in the hospital still for a while because her blood levels today showed that the infection was still strong. Keep those prayers coming. Thank you so much.

The beautiful mommy in the post below gave birth this afternoon to a beautiful baby girl, Reagan. However, Reagan inhaled meconium and has had trouble breathing. The nurses did not notice the meconium and were unable to clean out her mouth, nose and throat because she arrived very quickly when she decided to come. Reagan is in the NICU and needs our prayers. Thanks.

for baby R to arrive! She is due January 23rd but hasn't decided to enter the world yet. I was lucky to have a chance for one more set of maternity pictures. I was worried she might come before we were able to get together. We did it though! You should have seen the set up. We hung black fleece over a dresser with heavy vases to hold it up for some shots. For others we grabbed a white sheet and had dad on one side behind a wall and the mom's sister on the other. Thanks for being good sports! This is my cousin so I can pull crazy set ups like that off. Lol. Here is the outcome.

UPDATE!! Reagan will be meeting her mommy and daddy today...on her due date! Look forward to many newborn pictures of this sweet new addition.

Wow, what a wonderful first year in business. Even with the move, life has been good. I miss all of my clients back in my hometown but I also love my new clients here in Augusta. I have had an awesome opportunity to record this pregnancy from the very beginning. From the day my cousin told the family (I already knew...along with her sister) I started to document the baby's growth. What is a storyboard?

A storyboard is a custom design collection of photographs combined and printed in one large 10x20 print that is mounted for sturdiness. These beautiful storyboards can include names, quotes and etc. Storyboards can be hung on the wall using ribbon, framed or displayed using an easel. The frames for storyboards are those typically used for 3 5x7s with a mat. Removal of the mat makes a perfect frame! We will design the perfect storyboard together using your favorite pictures, colors and ideas.

Now down to business. The holidays are rolling around and weekends are filling up with activity. Now is the perfect time to schedule sessions for holiday pictures.
